Department of Accountancy
Introduction:-
Accountancy is a great subject to study for number of reasons. Accounting provides us with skills and knowledge that can be applied to a number of industries. Accountants are like a backbone of the business. An accountant’s job mainly involves assessing the financial records and the accounts of the company. By doing the same they are able to help and check if the business is doing well. In fact as long as there is business in the world, accountants are always needed. Every business industry or sector needs accountants. Now a days jobs in accounting field are changing rapidly due to inception of advance applications and accounting software adoption of such skill will definitely a key to success the for the students of this subject.
Department of Accountancy is one of the key departments under the faculty of commerce. This Department was established in the year 1989.Presently the subject of accountancy is taught in all three years of bachelor of commerce (B.Com) program.
From the Academic year 2022-23 Two year degree in M.Com (Accountancy) is also offered by the institution to the students who wishes to obtain PG degree in Commerce in the subject Accountancy.
Vision: – To motivate the rural students pursue professional accounting
Education and to contribute to the nation building.
Mission: – To educate the rural students to take up accounting as one of the
Subject for career, which in turns empowers them in the future.
The Department is functioning with the following Objectives:-
- To give in-depth knowledge of accountancy.
- To give the practical exposure to the field of accountancy.
- To create professional accountant’s.
- To make the students take up business challenge’s.
- To inculcate sense of belongingness to the society.
